What We Believe
Visitors to our assembly sometimes ask, “What do you believe?" or "Why do you worship the way you do?"

It's not about being different.  All religious organizations are different.  It is a matter of accurately understanding the teachings of Jesus Christ as revealed in the New Testament.

The Church holds the Bible to be the only way that God now communicates His will to man.  The New Testament is the part in which Christians are instructed in matters or faith and practice (Matthew 5:17).  It holds the Bible to be verbally inspired, and the Bible's silence on matters as an important element in understanding God's will for us.

The Church holds that the first century Christians observed the Lord's Supper on the first day of every week (Acts 20:7) (1 Corinthians 11:26); therefore, such is the practice of the Church of Christ today.

The Church holds that water Baptism is a condition of a sinner receiving God's forgiveness (Acts 2:38).  In addition to Biblical verses, we follow the example of Jesus Christ in (Matthew 3:13-17).

The Church holds that all believers could be and should be united in the one body of Christ, and this could be accomplished by the restoration of Christianity as it is revealed in the New Testament, and that such unity is the Lord's desire (Ephesians 4:4-6).

We also respond in these areas:

  • The Godhead exists in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are one GOD.
  • The Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of GOD and serves as the authoritative standard for every life, and is our final authority in all matters.
  • Man’s sin is forgiven only by faith and belief in the atoning blood of Jesus Christ. Faith includes repentance, confession of Jesus as Lord, baptism, and man’s effort to continue in grace.
  • GOD answers prayer.
  • The goal of every believer is to grow in spiritual maturity through obedience to GOD’s Word.
  • Every soul is of immeasurable value to GOD.
  • We are stewards of all GOD has given us.
  • We are to have the “Attitude of Christ.”
  • The “Great Commandment” defines our primary love.
  • The “Great Commission” is our charge from Jesus.
  • Everyone needs to hear the Gospel!
  • Jesus is Coming Again!
